How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
My production skills developed greatly throughout developing this project, a this was the first time working with Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator, all of these helped me create my magazine.
In my preliminary work I started off studying artists, getting a sense of style from this, I then continued to learn about photography form, this helped me when taking my photoshoot, because of this I was able to see how different forms of photography contribute to the overall product.
Working with Photoshop proved difficult at first as my first tries proved to be not my best works, however I did progress.
These two works were more abstract, with the second trying to mimic propaganda.
I then continued to do my first photoshoot with models and a professional camera. The photoshoot was done together with a classmate and the photos turned out good, this was my first time attempting to do a photoshoot but it was very helpful as I learned the importance of finding the right location for a photoshoot, time management and the schedules of the models, communication proved to be essential and this was then practiced with magazine photoshoot, with the photoshoot for my magazine I can clearly see a difference in planning, as the photoshoot at the beginning of year was impromptu, with no real planning, however with my magazine I had to discuss specific times with the model, think of a location beforehand and have costumes and props prepared, along with lighting. In this photoshoot (at the beginning of the year), we tried to capture emotions so the models had a bit of a difficult time but it all worked out in the end.

My works such as creating a movie poster in the photoshop and so on, all these were useful when creating my final media product ‘Femme Fatale’, as they allowed me to progress and practice my skills of production, developing throughout each project - they taught me time management, the use of props and lighting, working with models, how to properly use a camera (its settings and so on), editing photos and so on.
