Researching Music Artist Websites

In order to have an idea of how to create a website for our Music Promotion Package, I researched Lana del Rey's website.

After looking at the artists website I found the core conventions of a music artists website includes a gallery, tour dates, music videos, social media links and sometimes a store and about page. A lot of the time if the artist has just released a new album there will be a picture of the album on the main page and links to places where they can be listened to such as Apple Music or Spotify.

As Lana del Rey had just released a new album the first page was just about the album and in the corner there was a link to the actual website.

Each member in the group studied a website, the other members studied websites from bands like Brockhampton and Guns n Roses, and so we created a mind map in order to have a visual representation of the research that we gathered after studying the artist websites.
